What to Expect on the First Visit

A consultation, thorough exam, development of a treatment plan, and your adjustment. Expect your initial chiropractic visit to last 45 minutes to an hour, as Dr. Mike takes the time to spend with patients to ask good questions and get to the root of the issues the patient is feeling. X-rays are taken if needed at the doctor’s discretion.

In most cases, yes! After Dr. Mike performs your initial consultation and physical exam, he typically provides your first adjustment during the same visit so you can start finding relief immediately. However, if your case requires X-rays or further review for your safety, we may wait until those results are in.

How long does a typical appointment take after the first visit?
While your first visit is thorough and takes about 45 to 60 minutes, regular follow-up appointments are much quicker—usually lasting between 10 to 20 minutes. We value your time and aim to get you back to your day feeling better as efficiently as possible.

Do I need a referral from my primary doctor to see a chiropractor?
No, you do not need a referral! Chiropractors are ‘primary care’ providers for musculoskeletal health, meaning you can schedule an appointment directly with us. If your insurance plan specifically requires a referral for coverage (which is rare), our team can help you verify those details during your first visit.
